  • Socratic method
  • Help the person to learn for themselves
  • Point them to the documentation, but don't read it for them
  • Help turn a bad question into a good one
  • Don't give hacky workaround solutions when someone is trying to use the wrong tool to solve a problem. Suggest good tools.
