KRUDserver Linux
KRUD - Kevin's Red Hat Uber Distribution
KRUD Schedule:
As you know, in the past several years of doing KRUDserver, the Linux distribution landscape (and the world) has changed a lot. High speed Internet access is more widely available, reducing demand for a monthly issue CD distribution. Kevin Fenzi is now a Fedora project committer. The Fedora Project is a demonstrated success. So, we'll be able to ensure that the extra packages we've been including in KRUD are at least considered for inclusion in Fedora. Fedora isn't the only distribution we're recommending to our clients these days, though. We're also recommending CENTOS for slow-upgrade cycle installations, like servers. We will be winding down KRUDserver by the end of the year. We will honor our subscriptions through December, and make a payout offer to subscribers with remaining time on their subscriptions then. We continue to offer access to our mirrors.tummy.com site, for fast access to mirrors of kernel.org, Fedora Linux, and Debian Linux. |
