Admittedly it's a small dream, but thus far elusive... I dream that
designers of RJ-45 cable ends
will some day work with the designers of RJ-45 ports to produce a solution
that actually leaves the little tab hanging far enough out of the port so
that you can remove it without having to use a knife or extremely small
screwdriver. Then maybe they could work together with chassis makers so
that there's enough room around the port to get your fingers in to where
the tab is... How come they always put the tabs on lower ports facing the
bottom and upper ports towards the top, exactly where it's more likely to
be blocked by the shroud around the ports? How come they never put them on
the left or right sides where there's never anything in the way? If I were
running for President, this would be my platform.

While you are at it, can you get them to redesign the Molex hard-drive power plugs in ATX power supplies? I hate those things. Either you have to use maximum force to pull them out or they just don't go in right because the pins are not quite aligned.
