Help for tummy Journals
Introduction
Fairly regularly the folks at tummy.com write about things
related to business, Linux, Open Source, and similar topics. These
include things that we're thinking about and working on.
These journal entries can be read by clicking on the various
links under the "Blogs" section of our site, in the menu on the left.
The "
All Users" link displays the
introduction of the most recent entries from all users. Clicking on
a particular user will show only their most recent entries. An index
of all user entries is available at the top of that page.
RSS Feeds
This site also supports RSS feeds for each individual user as
well as a feed for all of the users. Simply point your RSS reader at
links for one of the users, or the "
All Users"
feed to subscribe to that feed. Don't have an RSS reader? Try
BlogLines, a free on-line RSS
reader and aggregater.
RSS feeds are a nice combination of push and pull technology.
Think of an RSS aggregater like a mail or Usenet news client. You
subscribe to different RSS feeds, and as new entries are made on them
your RSS aggregater will show you which feeds have new items in them.
It's got all the convenience of visiting a web-site, but they
come to you like a mailing list would. Why not just use a mailing
list? One benefit is that you don't have to worry about them getting
caught by your spam filter. It is very much like an e-mail mailing
list. In fact, if anyone is interested in getting these feeds via
e-mail as mailing lists, please let us know using the contact page on
the left. If there's any interest, we can easily set that up.
