I use KDE (which I like quite a lot). Some applications I use however are gnome based or use the gnome file browser for things like saving files and opening new files. The new one in Fedora Core 3 reaches a new low in non configurability. There used to be a checkbox for “show hidden files”, but I guess the Gnome people decided this was too confusing, so it's gone. Now, you have to know that you can select a directory and right click on it to get a popup for 'show hidden files'. Very intuitive. Not.
